The left side of the brain controls all of the activities on the right side of the body and the right side of the brain controls all of the activities on the left side of the body. Damage to the left hemesphere of the brain cause partly paralize and a lost of sensation on the right side of the body. Like damage to the right hemesphere of the brain cause partly paralize and a lost sensation to the left side of the body Such impairment on one side of the body is one of the hallmarks of a strokes or in my case a brain injury. Weakness that is limited to only one side of the body is known as hemiplegia.
Just like those big long telephone polls out side that got some great big long telephone wires so a person can call a person to a person phone to phone. Now picture another person with really sharp wire cutter cutting a telephone wire in two you lost all of the communication from person to person phone to phone if you pace the to halves together all of the communication is going to be block off.
